Esquivel- Infinity in Sound
Esquivel is sometimes referred to as 'The King of Space Age Pop'. His wonderfully arranged and imaginative music is exactly what the Jetsons would've listened to while dining in their retro-futuristic pad. Infinity in Sound is the first of two volumes of what seems to be a huge hit among fans if less so among critics at the time. The out-of-this-world sounds on this record represent the pinnacle of early 60's HI-FI and an arrangers understanding of how to use that technology. Much like David Axelrod's Song of Innocence this record enjoyed a resurgence in the 90's. An all out classic, to be enjoyed with a Tom Collins after a long day.
